A Tier 4 visa was a type of student visa that allowed international students to study in the United Kingdom. However, as of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the UK had replaced the Tier 4 visa with the Student Route visa.
The Student Route visa is designed for international students who want to study in the UK at a recognized educational institution. To apply for this visa, you generally need to meet certain requirements, including:
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS): You must have an unconditional offer of a place on a course from a licensed Tier 4 sponsor, which is now recognized as a Student Route sponsor.
Financial Requirements: You need to demonstrate that you have enough funds to cover your course fees and living expenses in the UK. The specific amount depends on your course and location.
English Language Proficiency: If your course is not in English, you may need to prove your English language proficiency through a recognized English language test like IELTS.
Tuberculosis (TB) Test: Depending on your country of residence, you might be required to undergo a TB test.
Immigration Health Surcharge: You’ll need to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) to access the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).
Visa Application: You must apply for the Student Route visa from your home country or a country where you have legal residence.
Please note that immigration rules and requirements can change, so it’s essential to check the latest information and guidance on the official UK government website or consult with the UK embassy or consulate in your home country for the most up-to-date information regarding visas for studying in the UK.
